The envelope manufacturer that is the number one provider of envelopes in the country, has informed the printer that produces the envelopes for CREC's mailed electric bills, that they are unable to source the paper they normally use to produce white envelopes because of supply chain issues.
However, in anticipation of such issues the manufacturer has sourced Kraft recycled paper outside of their normal paper manufacturers as a backup to ensure production. This is brown paper, it is recycled, and will include the recycled logo. Our envelope supplier expects this to be temporary for just a few months.
Other printers who use the same envelope manufacturer as our printer are having the same issue.
Go green with e-billing!
Since we're talking about paper anyway, this may be a good time to look at CREC's e-billing options! Go green and change your preference to receiving e-bills rather than a mailed statement.
To do so, first, make sure you are signed up as an online user - you can do this through CREC's online member portal or the MyCuivre app.
Online Portal: Log in and under "Billing and Payments" select "Bill Notifications." Here you can select how you want to receive your bill - Standard, E-Bill, or Standard and E-Bill. Select E-Bill and you will only be notified when your bill is ready to view online.
MyCuivre App: Login, select "Menu" ---> "My Account" ---> "E-Notifications." You can then select one of three choices - "Paper," "E-Bill," or "Paper & E-Bill." Make sure to hit "Submit" when you are done to save your choices.
