The Cuivre River Electric Community Trust Board met in January and awarded just over $34,000 in grants funded through Operation Round Up. Health grants were awarded to seven individuals and families from O’Fallon, St. Charles, Troy, Warrenton, Wentzville, and Winfield, and included supporting a disabled woman needing hearing aids, a family in need of modifications to their home to accommodate their quadriplegic child and a disabled woman who needed a trailer hitch and lift on her vehicle to carry her wheelchair. A weatherization grant was awarded to a gentleman to repair his fuse box to enable heat in his home.
