The Cuivre River Electric Community Trust Board met in January and awarded $22,100 in grants funded through Operation Round Up.
Health grants were awarded to 12 individuals and families from Elsberry, Moscow Mills, O’Fallon, St. Charles, St. Peters, Troy, and Wentzville, and included helping an elderly and disabled couple with funding for a stairlift and supporting a disabled individual in need of a ramp.
Community organizations that received grants included:
- Gateway to Hope — $2,500 to help the organization’s programs that support preventative care and treatment of breast cancer for low-income women.
- Boys and Girls Club of St. Charles County — $3,700 to help support the organization’s summer camps’ snack times that serve children in the co-op’s service area.
- United Services — $5,000 in support of the organization’s efforts to build an inclusion gallery — a therapeutic play space for children of all abilities.
We are grateful to our members who participate in the Operation Round Up program! Your generous support helps us to help those in need in the communities we serve.
