2020 Board of Directors election results
In the four districts with seats open, three incumbents who chose to run for re-election were selected by members for new three-year terms, continuing their service to the cooperative. One new director was elected in Lincoln County District 1 as the incumbent, Troy Galloway, chose to not run for re-election this year. The winners are (an asterisk * indicates an incumbent):

CREC members also voted on two bylaw changes, which were approved:
BYLAW PROPOSITION A: Shall the bylaws of the Cooperative be amended to reduce the percentage of member signatures needed for nominations by petition?
Approved bylaw - ARTICLE IV: DIRECTORS - Section 4. Nominations – now reads:
A minimum of one-tenth of one percent (.1%) of membership, as of December 31 of the previous year, acting together may make other nominations by petition not less than forty-five (45) days prior to the meeting and the Secretary shall post such nominations at the same place where the list of nominations made by the committee is posted.
BYLAW PROPOSITION B: Shall the bylaws of the Cooperative be amended to change notification requirements of unclaimed monies?
Approved bylaw - ARTICLE VII: NON-PROFIT OPERATION Section 3. Unclaimed Monies – now reads:
Upon expiration of at least two (2) years after availability of such monies, the Cooperative shall give at least sixty (60) days notification by publishing at least two (2) notices within a thirty (30) day period in a newspaper of general circulation in the county in which the member last received service from the Cooperative, or by other means reasonably calculated to have equal effect. Such notice shall contain reference to a website and/or physical address at which information regarding such monies may be found including the owner's name, and type of owner's interest and that if not duly claimed within sixty (60) days of said notices, the same shall be deemed assigned and donated to the Cooperative.
Free electricity prizes awarded
Survey & Ballot Systems, the third-party company that handles CREC’s election, randomly drew winners from those members who had voted in the election, either absentee or at the meeting. This year’s winners of free electricity are:
