· CREC is transitioning to a new 10-digit phone number for sending outage alerts, service updates, and other important notifications in response to industry-wide efforts to combat spam and improve the reliability of SMS messaging systems.

· Using our own 10-digit number will enhance the security of our communication system and provide a more reliable experience for our members.

· The only change you will notice is the number from which you receive text messages from CREC.

· If you opted in for text alerts through CREC’s online member portal and/or the MyCuivre app, you will still receive the same important alerts, including outage notifications, service updates, and severe weather warnings – they will just be coming from the new number.

· There will be no interruption in service during the transition.
