CREC is always looking for ways to help you save energy and money while supporting a sustainable future for our community. Changes to our rebates, in partnership with AECI’s Take Control & Save program, will be effective July 1 and are designed to better align with these goals.
Rebates for window air conditioning units and non-heat pump tank-style water heaters will no longer be offered. These technologies, while providing comfort, are generally less energy-efficient compared to other available options.
Rebate amounts for several other energy-saving upgrades will increase starting July 1. These include:
- Air source heat pump (ASHP) and mini split ducted systems
- Ductless mini split
- Heat pump water heaters
- Level 2 electric vehicle (EV) chargers
