Cuivre River Home Energy Audits.

Home Energy Audits

Cuivre River’s Energy Experts can help you understand how you use energy now and give you ideas about the most cost-effective ways to reduce your use and improve your energy habits. For example, heating and cooling can account for about 33% of your home energy costs. By discovering places in your home where air leaks, simple steps like caulking around windows and adding weatherstripping to doors can help add comfort and result in noticeable reductions in energy use. A modified commercial and industrial energy audit program will be available later in the year. Call an Energy Expert at 1-800-392-3709 (extensions 231, 233, 334, 4732 or 4733) for more information or to schedule a Home Energy Audit.

Ask The Energy Expert

Can Cuivre River help manage rising costs and curb the growing demand for energy?

Q. I've been reading about energy issues in the Rural Missouri/Current Times. What is Cuivre River doing to help us face rising costs and reduce energy use?
A. As cooperative members we all carry the responsibility to make the best use of our energy resources. We've been working with our cooperative-owned power supplier, Associated Electric Cooperative, Inc. (AECI), to find the best ways to ease the burden of rising costs — for individual members and for our entire cooperative network — and to use electricity wisely. If we reduce energy waste and curb our growing demand for energy, we can optimize generating capacity and postpone the need for costly new power plants. Read more…
