Cuivre River Electric Cooperative has a strong commitment to the community. We are made up of people who live and work in these communities. We're all neighbors working together - achieving common goals and helping our communities grow and prosper.
We work closely with local chambers of commerce, and other organizations, and are always pursuing innovative ways to meet community needs. We have the power to make a positive impact on the communities where we live and where our members' businesses thrive and families are nurtured.

Community Development Programs
Youth Programs, including electric safety, energy education and cooperative education, help improve public safety, enhance school curriculum and increase energy awareness. Don't forget to check out the fun and educational links on our Cuivre Kid's Club page.
The annual Youth Tout to Washington, D.C. for high school juniors offers lessons in democratic leadership.
Operation Round Up helps address unmet community needs.
We work hard in the area of Economic Development including sites in Lake Saint Louis, Moscow Mills, O'Fallon, Wentzville and Weldon Spring. In Wright City, CREC owns Gateway West Industrial Centre, a 70 acre development zoned for heavy industrial use.
Green Tree Grants available through our transmission cooperative Central Electric, are designed to assist communities and schools in the planting of trees. Email us to request more information or an application.
Employees personally support many charitable events such as the local United Way campaign and March of Dimes.
