Registration Postcards Will Be Mailed Alone, Not With Bills

Watching for your card?

If you're accustomed to finding your Annual Meeting registration card inserted with your July or August bill, please keep looking. It will still arrive in your mail, but will be sent separately as a postcard this year, not enclosed with your bill.

"We hope the oversized card will be easy to spot in your mailbox," says Manager of Member Services Kevin Hurd. The cards are scheduled to be mailed the week of July 22.

"Many members are accustomed to receiving the cards as early as July 6 and as late as August 6," he says.  Mailing them all at one time, rather than throughout the month with electric bills, offers the flexibility to mail all cards closer to the meeting date of August 9 at the Family Arena in St. Charles.

The perforated card customized with each member's name helps expedite  member identification, registration, the distribution of ballots, programs and meal tickets, and — most importantly for some — easy entry for attendance prize drawings.

Members who attend should bring the entire card as proof of their membership. However, if you are missing a card, a duplicate card can be provided on site with proof of your membership, such as a recent electric bill. (One registration per family or business.)

On meeting day when members enter the Family Arena, they'll find registration stations at each entrance where tickets would normally be collected for other arena events. Food vending areas and beverage kiosks will be around every corner; voting stations and information booths will be available on each level.

The top attendance prize* once again is Free Electricity for One Year ($1,500 bill credit). Other top prizes include $500 electricity certificates and monthly Free Electricity certificates ($150 limit). Dozens of other prizes will also be awarded.

"Free electricity is one of the best values we can offer," says Hurd, hopeful that the attendance prizes, food and entertainment continue to help meet the cooperative's attendance quorum.

The August Current Times will have extensive additional information for voters and meeting-goers. As details become available they will also be posted on www.cuivre.com.

* Must be present during the prize drawing to win. Restrictions apply.
