CREC Information
Cuivre River Electric Cooperative, Inc. is Missouri’s largest electric distribution cooperative, serving more than 60,000 families and businesses in Lincoln, Pike, St. Charles and Warren counties.
CREC is also among more than 741 electric cooperatives across the nation who forms Touchstone Energy®. The Touchstone Energy Cooperative brand represents a nationwide alliance made of more than 730 local, consumer-owned electric cooperatives in 46 states. Touchstone Energy co-ops collectively deliver power and energy solutions to more than 40 million members each day. Electric cooperatives distribute power for 75 percent of the U.S. land mass over 2.4 million miles of power lines.
Electric cooperatives were established to provide electricity to rural America, and now make up the largest electric utility network in the nation. Touchstone Energy® is the national brand identity for that network.
We share a common promise to provide your energy services while meeting the highest standards of accountability, integrity, innovation and commitment to your community.
CREC's power is generated by Associated Electric Cooperative and Central Electric Power Cooperative, and delivered through Central Electric Power Cooperative.
An equal opportunity employer, CREC has more than 130 employees working out of our Troy headquarters and Lake Saint Louis branch offices.
There are many benefits unique to cooperative membership, including an Annual Meeting, election of the Board of Directors and capital credits.
