No Rate Increase In 2012 Budget

Although your Cooperative's wholesale power costs did increase on January 1, we received some very good news just prior to year's end. Our power supplier, Central Electric Power Cooperative (CEPC), did not increase our rates as much as they had earlier projected, due to lower cost projections from Associated Electric Cooperative (AECI), our cooperative-owned power generator. Local Students Win Safety Poster Contest

Michael Hackmann used his creativity to win the eighth annual Cuivre River Electric Cooperative Safety Poster Contest for area fifth grade students. Second and third place awards go to Vanessa Liker and Alexis Koch. The theme “Electrical Safety in the Kitchen” inspired 722 entries from 52 fifth grade classes in Lincoln, Pike, St. Charles and Warren counties. Read more...

Rebate Update For 2012

Changes to the 2012 rebate program offered by Cuivre River Electric Cooperative's wholesale power supplier, Associated Electric Cooperative, were announced December 1. Rebates for clothes washers and dishwashers will end June 1, 2012. Rebates for units purchased prior to June 1 will be honored through September 1. Higher "Energy Star Plus 2" efficiency requirements for Ground Source and Dual Fuel Heat Pumps take effect January 1, 2012. Read more...

Cuivre River is the target of an ongoing scam by various titles including “Canadian Sweepstakes” and "Mega Million Sweepstakes". An unknown entity is sending fake checks that appear to be from Cuivre River Electric to random victims of this scam.
